We just went on a cruise a few weeks ago - our first one. Carnival Inspiration - 5 days. There's a review in my blog. We had a blast!

I've only been on one cruise and it was with Carnival - I wasn't a fan.  I liked cruising, but I just wasn't satisfied with Carnival so I wouldn't recommend it.  I can't really give any suggestions on other lines since I've never been on any others.

We went on a cruise for our honeymoon. Royal Caribean Explorer of The Seas. The ship was beautiful!! I agree that Carnival isn't the best. They are the most affordable though. Carnival has more of a party, and famliy type atmosphere. I am not into that. I want to be able to relax but still have fun.

I loooooove cruises. We are doing a cruise for our honeymoon (mediterrenean). In the summer you take the risk of hurricanes and cruises could change their itinerary or stay at a port for a longer period of time . If you go in April/May you'd be fine as far a weather. I've been on 4 cruises. 3 with Carnival and 1 with Royal Caribbean. Royal Caribbean was a 4 day cruise, on an older, smaller ship and I did not like the entertainment at all. Carnival had always something going plus I found a younger crowd with Carnival as well. Western Caribbean you visit Cozumel, Mexico; Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Eastern and Southern Caribbean you visit Puerto Rico, Saint Thomas, Turk and Caicos, St. Kitts, St.Lucia, St. Marteen, Barbados...it all depends which ship you take

I love cruising! I have been on many and Royal Caribbean is definitely my favorite cruise line. We did the Mexican Riviera cruise for our honeymoon, but my favorite was the western Caribbean cruise.

I like cruising...I've been on 3 cruises while an adult. 1 on NCL (older ship, got an insanly cheap deal) and the other 2 on Carnival.  For a more affordable trip, carnival is great.  They have good food, like their stops a lot and have a good time. I do want to try a different cruise line in the future though.  My favorite was the Southern Caribbean which included San Juan, Barbados, Aruba, St. Thomas and Dominica.

I have been on royal and carnival (the newer ships) and they were both really good so I would go with whichever has the best deal.  If you are going on an older ship you may want to research some more. I love cruises!! oh and check out cruisecritic.com they have forums that are very very informative

I have been on 9 royal caribbean cruises and 2 carnival.  I highly recommend royal caribbean.  Their service and ships are gorgeous!   I am looking into the Oasis of the Seas for our 1 yr anniversary.

I highly recommend Princess Cruise Lines.  I have been on a couple different lines, and princess had the best service, food etc.  You really can't go wrong on a cruise imo.  They are soo much fun.

Def recommend Royal Caribbean.  FI has been on both Royal and Carnival, and he likes Royal better.  We're hoping to go on a cruise for our honeymoon, but we'll see :)

Royal Caribbean!  If you can afford it I'd say do Alaska over the summer.
