Westwood in Garfield

Does anyone have any information about the Westwood in Garfield?  Their prices seem good.  I havn't gone to check it out just yet.  Decor? Food? Service? Ceremony Site?Any information you have is appreciated!TIA!

Assuming you meant Garwood, not Garfield, my shower was there.  The food was good, the service was not.  We had to ask for everything (water, coffee, etc.) and they took the food away really early and people still wanted to eat.  The decor was okay, we were in the downstairs room, which was perfect for my shower but I'm not sure about a wedding.  The ceiling is low.  I don't know about the ceremony site.

Their prices are very good. They quoted me $60pp for a Saturday in January, including gratuity. They offer a tasting prior to booking, which for us, was key. However, when we went, we were missing silverware. This was a major negative for my H, who said if they can't do it right for a tasting for 6 of us (us plus our parents) how will they do it right for 140 of our guests? I couldn't argue with that. Plus, we weren't crazy about the food, and my H hated the wine. He thought it was awful. I was really disappointed with how much my H hated it (and apparently my ILs hated it too) b/c it was the best price, but we found a much better place, for not much more money, at the Bridgewater Manor.

I don't really see Renee on here much anymore, but she went to a wedding there and they put post-its on your plate, I think pink for beef, yellow for chicken. That would have turned me off, BIG TIME.

My cousin had her wedding there and I have to say that it was just average, the food was good...but we the service was horrible. The staff always seemed to disappear.

We looked into the Westwood and they did have pretty good prices, but when we went for the tasting we were a bit disappointed.  Also you can't do an outdoor ceremony, which was something we were looking for.
