Marriage License Issue- totallly confused.

Ok, so I know I am probably worrying about this a little early.  I still have like 9 months till i get married.  I'm kind of confused by the marriage license info.  I am a resident on NC, but I am getting married in LA.  First, which license do I need: NC or LA?  Also, a blood test is not required in NC, but it is in LA.  Do we need to get one?  We just did this about 6 months ago, do we need to get it done again?  I have tried looking the info up on a marriage license law site, but it just states the laws within each state.... nothing about out of state marriages.  Another question is why do the marriage licenses expire within so many days?  Any help would be appreciated   I feel like an idiot.

I *think* you'll use the LA license system. Pretty sure you have to use the state you actually get married in.

Yes, you need the license from the state in which you'll marry. If by LA you mean Louisiana, then you should not need a blood test at all according to both these sites:

To be sure, you could find the parish for your location, and call their office to verify the requirements. There is a 3 day waiting period, but can be waived by a judge. Good luck!

I think your best bet would be to call the Register of Deeds office (or whatever) for the place you'll be getting married, explain that you live in NC and will be getting married there and ask them what you need to do.  That way you'll know for sure.

Your info thing says you're getting married in New Orleans.  This is the official LA government page for getting married in New Orleans:
