my parents must not really love me

i had a big flashy wedding, and they invited everyone they wanted, because they paid. not only did i not have much of a say in the guest list i didn't even want a big wedding, i would have been thrilled to get married in a backyard in front of family and a few friends.they must really not love me because they wanted to throw a big huge party to celebrate me and mh and invite all their friends so that they could share in our happiness. i mean really the nerve.

    so true dizzy, so true. not only did they throw me a big wedding but it was just a total sh!tshow b/c i had a photbooth and hotdogs.

    Mine too! Not only are they inviting all of their friends they have the nerve to encourage FI and I to invite all of our friends. They even went so far as to suggest that FI's parents should invite their friends and family. Clearly we should have a support group :)

    Because it's your special day.  Only you, not something that unites 2 FAMILIES/friends together.  It's brad's pretty pretty prince wedding, he will have nothing but klass at the wedding.

    don't you know Lisa that it's all about you, you and you and not about your famiy or the parents that raised you, loved you and paid for you for at least 18 years of your life?  i'm surprised you didn't lock them up in the basement for inviting all of their friends to show off your wedding.  Brad's parents are probably in his basement right now for stepping over the line and inviting someone he hasn't met in advance and given his approval to.
