Went to Aruba on your honeymoon? Come in...

My husband and I are finally going on our honeymoon.  Right after we were married in May of last year he got shipped off to Iraq and I got pregnant.  He's back now and we have a beautiful little boy and are so ready to go away.  Our travel agent suggested the Occidental Grand in Aruba.  Anyone have any hotel suggestions? TYIA!

If you are looking for all-inclusives, I would look at the Bucuti Beach Resort which is a couples only resort, Divi Beach Resort ( i think there are 2 different divi's), and also maybe the Hyatt or Westin as these all have gotten high reviews from my research when I was looking at Aruba.  My husband and I just went to Aruba last month, but we didn't stay in an all-inclusive since we weren't on our HM.  Just my opinion, but I suggest that you try the restaurants on the island as well because Aruba has some amazing restaurants.

LMAO!  Sorry.  LOLWe found out I was pregnant the day before he left :)We were trying to get pregnant and knew there was a possiblity that he would be shipped out.  We discussed it and I knew that I had family and friends to support me, plus the internet.Needless to say, we talked everyday online and Skyped.  He got to see my whole pregnancy and was here for Matty's birth. :)

I highly recommend the Hyatt!  It is not all-inclusive, but it is absolutely beautiful and a really great hotel overall.  Aruba is awesome-- so you really can't go wrong with any pick.  Also, the Wyndham is really great, too.  Have a terrific time!  Your baby is adorable :)

The Marriott....if you like steak make sure to eat at El Gaucho....I am not a huge steak person, but I think it was the best steak I ever had. http://www.elgaucho-aruba.com/menu/

I stayed at the Occidental 3 years ago and although it was a lovely hotel, I would not return. First off, the food was not good. Besides the Japanese there really wasn't anything there we enjoyed. The pool and beach were nice as were the servers. In my opinion, if you are looking for an all-inclusive, I would look into the Riu Palace. It was not available when we booked our trip but it was really nice. We went there often to just hang out with friends that were staying there. My sister stayed there the year after us and loved it. The Hyatt was also very nice but it is not an all-inclusive and I found it kind of pricey for drinks and such. I second going to El Gaucho.. The BEST steak ever! Enjoy!!
