Making Ceremony Longer?

Our ceremony looks like it will be about 12 minutes INCLUDING processional and recessional. This seems rather short to me so I'm looking for ideas for readings or other aspects to include to add some time.We are not religious and do not want to do anything overly mushy since that's not really "us." Something kind of fun and slightly quirky or non-traditional would be great.Any ideas or suggestions?

Maybe about 2 or 3 readings (poems, excerpts from books), a song, some kind of unity ceremony (sand, candles, rose exchange, tree planting, wine sharing).

One time at a wedding I was at they did a unity sand pouring thing (where the bride and groom each had a different color sand and they pour it into a bottle together) and that seemed to take a really long time..Personally, I am hoping our ceremony is only 10-15 minutes long.

I am going to have someone read the Irish Marriage Blessing.  Are you Irish??  Or is your fiance Irish??  It's very nice...short & sweet...maybe you would like it...here it is...May the road rise to meet you. I really don't think your guests will mind a 12 minute ceremony. In fact, they might love you for it.

I was at a ceremony once that lated FOREVER!! Realistically it was probably only like 30 minutes, but it felt like it was never going to end! I prefer it to be short and sweet, but I also think you should include everything you want in it, I mean, it is your wedding and you don't want to regret leaving something important out!
