***NYCDee/Lola Minnie***

Hi!I'm getting married next September in Sea Bright, NJ (I live in SI) and I'm using Flowers by Bernard to do my bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages. I'm DIYing my centerpieces. I went with Flowers by Bernard (on Amboy with Irving) because he's 5 minutes away from me and I heard great things about him on silive.com. I'm just a little worried that I'm going to get bad work now and I'm thinking I should just really be on top of him before the wedding and show him EXACTLY what I want. Thanks,Danielle

Hi Danielle, I've also heard varying opinions on the one on Amboy. Some people love it, but when I visited the one on hylan, the woman I met with was the owner (Bernard's son) and had said that the Amboy location is owned by her BIL which is not of relation to father.  I felt comfortable there and really liked them. I canceled my other florist appointments after and brought a deposit. I'm sure it will work out beautiful though for you since they are praised often. And Dee's problem seemed mainly with the centerpieces, so I'm sure you'll be fine.

Hi Danielle, did he make you a sample of your bouquet? If he made a sample and you were happy with it then I'm sure you'll be fine. He did have great reviews on silive so that's why I was very surprised with my situation.... I told him what I wanted and some things I didn't want, then he made a sample for me and it was the complete opposite. So I would suggest having him make you a sample, there's no reason why he can't, other florists are happy to make samples. But hopefully you already saw a sample and if you did then I wouldn't worry, if you saw it and loved it then i'm sure he'll come through on it :)
