Poll: H's or FI's who travel a lot

I know we don't get much traffic on the weekend but maybe I'll get some responses...Why do they travel so much?Where do they mostly go?Are you used to it?What do you do while they're away?MH has been away for the past 3 weeks. He's had three (scattered) days home within that time frame and I'm really getting impatient. 1. He travels for work (computer engineer).2. He goes anywhere in the world they send him but lately he's been going to PR a lot. 3. I'm used to the travel but it's never been this much in one shot. 4. I try to go out with friends more, or I spend a lot of time at my mom's house.

well.. this poll is reversed for me since i am the one who travels work work.--i travel because i cover all 2- and 4- year colleges and universities in NY and NJ, up through western NY/Rochester/Buffalo.  it's a haul, so i typically drive or fly up and stay a while to hit those accounts.--when i am away, it's western ny, not far.  then we have 2-3 national meetings a year.  summer on east coast, winter on west.  this january in dallas.--he hates it bc he is lonely and has to take care of the dog himself, but he'll live--he plays his computer games and is a total bum

1.  Works for an airline-away at least 3 nights a week2.  wherever they send him, usually CA3  very used to it, its always been this way for years4  I do my usual routines I dont think it will really affect me until we have children.  I actually embrace my alone time.

For workNow, mostly in a radius around Columbus--Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, Indy, Cincy. Sometimes NYC.I'm pretty used to it. He always traveled a lot. When we were in Seattle, it was a lot of flying/weeks away from home. In SF, it was mostly daily driving, not many nights away. Now it's back to weeks away.I go with him sometimes. If not, we luckily live in a neighborhood where there's lots to do. But it is still hard because we have no friends in OH yet so I'm alone. I enjoy having me time, but I do sometimes wish I had someone to hang out with when FI's not around. At least in SF we had some friends.

1) He runs an NABA baseball team and travels all over for tournaments. I go to some of them, if we can spend the money for me to go. 2) Everywhere... Mostly within the US, but goes to PR every February. 3) I say that I am, but then when he is actually gone I am not. lol4) Hang out with my sis and the kids, my mom, decorate, clean... lol. Do little projects...

Why do they travel so much? Mike travels out of country for his job. He takes people back to their home country. Where do they mostly go? anywhere and everywhere: Dubai,Egypt, Jamaica, Bangladesh, Italy and the list goes on Are you used to it? He leaves about once, maybe twice a month for a few days. It's so much better that being gone a year What do you do while they're away? I either go home to see my family or I stay here.
