Ring Bearer Pillow - but no ring bearer?!!?

I have a Ring Bearer Pillow that was used in my mom and my gramma's weddings, so I would love to incorporate it into our wedding.  However, we do not have a ring bearer, and the flower girl will be pretty young, so I'm not sure I want to give her that responsibility. Any ideas?

Could you have it placed on the alter in advance of teh ceremoney with the priest taking it and doing the blessing of the rings with teh rings on the pillow and then handing them to you/fi?

Usually the ringbearer doesn't really carry the rings anyway. A lot of ring bearer pillows I've seen have fake plastic rings tied to it so the ringbearer "thinks" he's doing something. For other ideas, you could attach some flowers to it and carry it in place of a bouquet or one your bridesmaids could do this. You could also have it propped up on display on your guestbook or heritage table.
