Question!

Someone mentioned this to me so I want to see if anyone else did this.

I am a nyc resident, fiance is a NJ resident and we are getting married in NJ.
Do we go to city hall in nyc or the NJ city hall ( sorry dont know if its a diff name? )

I heard since I am getting married in NJ i can not do nyc city hall, please help!! im confused

You must go to the city hall in the town he lives in.
