Newly Engaged - reception help

Hi all, I just got engaged and am so excited!  Finding a venue and picking a date seems very daunting at the moment and I'm not even sure where to begin.
I would love to get married sometime next year and it doesn't really matter what month or if it's a Friday or a Sunday. Be I wanted a somewhat realistic expectation of how much certain places cost before I start making phone calls.
I love the Westmount Country Club, the Rockleigh and the Addison Park. I would imagine we would have a max of 250 people and the most I would ideally like to spend is $200pp (I'm not sure how much taxes and tip are so if that isn't included in the pp number than  I would say another $5-10k for that stuff would be ok)
I appreciate any insight you all have and I'm also open to suggestions of other places to try!

Your price range should be fine for all of the venues you listed for most nights/months of the year. If you're looking for 2012, your best bet is to start touring soon to see what venues are available and when. Good luck!

if you want to get married in 2012, then you should be able to get a great deal. Especially if you arent picky about what month. I think westmount has a page on their website for value dates.  Those are dates that arent booked as of yet. I wouldnt wait to long. This is engagement season and appointments will be hard to get. So if you decide you want to wait until after the holidays that is fine, just make your appointments now.

Congrats! Can I toss a few more options out there that you might also like that would fall into your range? Park Savory, Florentine Gardnes, Crystal Plaza, The Vanetian and Naninas in the Park. Have fun visiting venues!!!!!

Congrats on your engagement and happy planning! FI and I started planning right away, so my thought is that if you want to get married next year, book the date now while you still can. Your flexibility should make this a whole lot easier!!!!! FI is a teacher so we really couldn't be too flexible with the month we wanted to get married. There are so many pretty places in the area, I hope you find your perfect place.

    Congratulations!

May I also suggest that if you choose an off day or time you will probably be able to find more vendor availability...  We planned our wedding ten months out but did Saturday afternoon because we couldn't meet minimums, and because of the time of day I am finding a lot of vendors are being flexible to accommodate us into their schedules.

    Good luck!

Hi Sweetie - congrats!  I was in a similar boat - wanted t o marry in lessthan a year and didn't really care if it was Fri, Sat or Sun.  Booked Pleasantdale Chateau for a Sunday 3pm start and is was perfect!  If you are flexible with your dates you can do well on price.  Good luck!
