Got the dress!! PIP

After a lot of wedding stress - I had a great weekend!
Went to the Bridal show in Greensboro on Sunday and the venue I wanted was almost $1000 off! So we put a hold on May 13th 2011!

 Monday night I went dress shopping for the 1st time - I was SO nervous!
Brought 4 BM, MOB and MOG.
I had a 7pm appointment at Davids Bridal  - (I was the only bride in the store!)

I did not go in planning to find "the one" - I thought I would need to shop a lot to find the one and I was so worried that the dresses would make me look um....fat. I worry too much!

My lady (Sarah) was AMAZING. She had me mark in the catalog the dresses I liked and she brought me dresses that were 1) all in the budget that I told her I was under and 2) looked great on me

Sorry this is so long!
so THE FIRST dress I tried on was THE ONE!   I tried on i think 8 - 9 dresses and it was so hard because there were 4 that were all amazing, but the first one was perfect and was 1/2 price so I got a dress i'd never thought I would be able to afford.

Also, I'm normally a 12 and this dress is tagged a 10?? I was expecting a bigger size

    You look amazing!  Congrats on finding the one!  DB was the store for me, too.  They were so helpful and they actually found a dress for me that I would've never tried on if they hadn't of made me....but it ended up being perfect, so they really know their stuff!  What venue did you end up going with?

    We are going with Pine Lake Pavilion in Mebane - it is very close to us which was a huge plus and is our "slurge" for the wedding - we will be cutting back on other things to stay in our budget but it is worth it, and I am so excited b/c it is just so beautiful there

    How exciting!!!  I sort of miss the wonderful days of planning out all the little details!!!  It will all fly by so quickly!  But congrats on finding a dress and a venue!  Two big checks!

    I agree with Alyson, getting the dress makes so much of the stress go away! It's lovely, and it looks great on you- good job. :)
