So we heard back from our timeshare today. Our request for Costa Rica went through! So I am busy planning our trip around the country.
Now I know some of you are thinking "didn't we have a discussion about Fiji and New Zealand?" Yes we did. Our rep said it is very hard to use the timeshare in Fiji when our date is very specific. Plus that is the time of year Europeans flock to Fiji to escape the cold, leaving very little availability. So we opted to do Costa Rica instead so we could get the exact weekend we wanted. But we haven't given up on Fiji. Since costa rica used very few timeshare points and with no specific dates needed in the future, we were able to book a week in Fiji (and our side trip to New Zealand) for next year!
