I'm going to be using the Quaker Marriage Certificate in our wedding. We will be getting a marriage license from the state. We just liked the sentiment of the Quaker Certificate. Does anyone know the order in which we would have guest sign that certificate? I read in one place that it was as they leave the church. Another said after the vows, but before the ring exchange. Does anyone have any suggestions of how to do it without a lot of interruption to the ceremony? We'd like it to be a fairly quick ceremony. No readings. No unity anything. I was thinking of doing it beforehand in lieu of a guestbook with a description of what it is and why we are doing it next to it. I just think that loses a bit of it since they're signing something saying they witnessed our vows and at that point they haven't. Any opinions?
