New Jersey

It's 3:00 a.m. and I'm exhausted, but they're done! (PIP)

So I got a rush of adrenaline at about 10:00 p.m. and decided to just get my ass in gear and finish up our invitations.  They're officially done (all 99 of them) and will be dropped off at the post office as soon as I get out of work... I've been dreaming of this day for the past two weeks!!

They are almost 100% DIY as I did the printing, the majority of the cutting, the gluing, the designing, etc. all on my own and, as I'm sure you can tell, they are bilingual bifold invitations.

I took a couple pictures but I'm annoyed because the pictures look nothing like they do in real life.  Here they look dull and the ribbon and paper don't look as though they match, but in actuality the cardstock and envelopes are shiny metallic, the cardstock matches the ribbon perfectly, and the colors we used are a bright coral and a light orange/apricot (two of our wedding colors).  Along with what you see in the pictures, we also included both inner and outer envelopes.

They came out amazing.  And now I understand why your invites are costing so much to mail, but honestly the carstock layering looks beautiful, so I think its worth it.

Thank you so much everyone!  I know they're nowhere near the professional and gorgeous look that so many of you had for your invitations, but we're happy with the way they came out and we're glad we stuck to our guns and went with the bilingual cards instead of sending separate English and Spanish invitations out to different people.

To those of you who told me not to worry about the international postage, you were totally right... I think the most expensive one was only $2.39.  Unfortunately, I had to fill out a customs form for each of them (there were 7) and by the time I got through with that I only had 5 minutes until the post office closed to hand cancel the rest of the 90 or so invitations.  I got everything done, though, and as I left the post office a HUGE wave or relief washed over me.

Let the mailbox stalking begin!  :-)
