What photo-sharing site did you use?

I'd like to create a user-friendly photo sharing site.  I use Shutterfly a lot, but want to consider some other options.  Is there one that doesn't require guests to sign up?  TIA!

They don't have to sign up for Shutterfly.  That is what we used and it was super easy.  I just created an account for the wedding and made a new user name and password and gave that to our guests.  They just signed into the account and were able to easily upload their pictures.  I did a lot of research trying different sites when I was doing this and I found shutterfly to be the easiest.

We used Photobucket. If you create an account and give them the password, they can just sign in and upload using that information ... they won't need to create separate accounts.

We ordered free (well, we paid for shipping) business cards from Vistaprint.com with this info and the reception hall put one at every place setting. We had about three or four people upload a total of maybe 100 photos and a couple short videos. One friend sent me a couple hundred photos via e-mail the next day, and a few other friends put theirs on Facebook.

We're using weddingturtle.com.  It's specifically made for sharing photos from weddings.  Guests upload their pics at your custom URL and can't accidentally delete anyone else's.  They can even categorize the pics into ceremony, reception, etc and you get email notification when people upload pics.  I love it and am hoping it works out well!

I heard Weddingturtle was good, and I will most likely use that for my wedding.  I have a question though, would it be better to make business cards and mail them out with the thank you cards?  Or should I actually leave them on the tables with the wedding favors?

I didn't do it for the reception - it slipped my mind, but of all the things I could have forgotten to do, this was the best thing to forget. (Guests may forget to take the cards with them as well). I'll be sending cards with the thank-yous. And I'm using weddingturtle.

I set up weddingturtle, but as of yet (3 weeks after the wedding), only one guest has posted pics there.  :-(

I'm wondering if it was too complicated for guests to figure out how to log in and upload.

I'm using Wedding Turtle, but on our photoshare card that we put together we mentioned at the bottom that if guests would prefer to email the pictures they could send them directly to us at our personal gmail account (and we obviously provided our email address).

I think most of our guests are going to just wind up sending them via email and if you have Facebook (we don't) guests may just send them to you that way as well.

A friend of mine used weddingturtle recently and she had a lot of people tell her it was complicated and confusing so they didn't upload them.    I didn't try because I just uploaded my pictures to her computer after the wedding myself because we see each other all the time and it was easier.

As for putting out cards at the wedding or in TY cards....for me, I download my pics within a day or two of going to an event.  And I would be more likely to upload them to the photoshare site while I am uploading to my computer right after the event.  If I get a TY note a few months later, I may be busy and have other stuff going on and not sit down to do the pictures.    Lots of people that I talked to before my wedding said the same thing so I put them out at the wedding.  We had about 15-20 people put pictures on our share, and a few took lots of pictures.  It was great.
