shoe help

I am having such a hard time finding a perfect pair of wedding shoes.  My feet are really small...size 4!  So it's nearly impossible to find shoes that actually fit.  I realllly wanted to wear red heels, however heels that are no taller than 2-3 inches because I also am planning on switching my shoes after the ceremony to a pair of red converse sneakers, so I don't want to be tripping on my dress all night during the reception.  Does anyone have any recs as to a place (either store or online) that I could try?  I have already tried nordstrom.com but I didn't see anything I liked.  Or do you think I should just wear the converse sneakers  for the reception and ceremony?

I swear that being small is sometimes a curse!

  • Try Shoe Chic in Englewood.  They can dye shoes red.  I know that they had size 5 shoes in stock, so maybe call and see if they have size 4?

  • Thanks I will check that place out!

I also should have mentioned that I already did find a pair that fit me perfect and I bought them on sale for $30, but they are 4 inches tall and Im just afraid of getting my dress altered to these shoes, and then when I put on my converse sneakers I would be tripping over my dress the whole night.  Do you think I would have a problem with dress length?  I hope this makes sense!

  • I would check out shoes.com they have really easy returns, I ordered like 4 pairs of shoes for my wedding (long story ha) and it was so easy to just send them back and get the refund.  I order from there a lot now, you can usually get free shipping and they always have a deal going on.  Good luck!
  • what about zappos.com

  • I used Shoebuy.com   Free Shipping both ways.

I changed into lower heels for the reception, and I had my dress hemmed for the lower heels.  I wore higher heels for the ceremony (about a 2-inch difference) and it was not noticeable.  Just bring both pairs (assuming you find the red heels you want) when you go for alterations.

  • My sister is a size 5 and had a really difficult times finding shoes for my wedding. She ended up lucking out at the Nine West Outlet in Jersey Gardens mall! They had a shoe she loved, but not her size, but they were able to order them for her.

My friend has really small feet and she found her wedding shoes on there. It's also free shipping back and forth so even if they don't fit, you're not out any money for shipping.
