How much are you spending on your wedding shoes?

Hey gals,
I'm curious to know how much everyone is spending on their wedding shoes.  I wasn't planning on spending more than $100 but then I stumbled upon these Badgley Mischkas and I love them.  But they're $215...

I spent $30 on mine but they're just a pair of ballet shoes.

But I found the same pair of shoes you're look at at bloomingdales for cheaper

kneecoallyn -- thanks for the link!!

I'm going to have to think about this one.  They're gorge -- but I'll wear them once.  I usually only spend a lot on shoes when I know I'll get a lot of use out of them.  Or maybe I can sell them on ebay after the fact...

Thanks for the opinions ladies :)

You could definitely wear those shoes again!  If I wasn't saving for my wedding shoes I would definitely purchase those as well!

cc - if by chance you're a size 9 1/2 there's a pair on ebay too for 99 bucks, I also think I saw a very similiar pair at DSW last weekend so you might wanna check there.

See I would wear those shoes whenever possible! I think they are amazing!!! You could wear that with a whole bunch of outfits.

And to answer your question I spent about A LOT! Probably 700-800 but DH gifted part and I just saved up for the rest. However I love shoes and they go with almost anything.

I think you would TOTALLY wear those again. If you can afford it and if they are comfortable - get them.

Fabulous news! I had a giftcard from Bloomies that my mother in law got me for Christmas and since they're already on sale there, I was able to get them for just over $100!! Checking shoes off the list!

Little moments like these make wedding planning so amazing :)

kneecoallyn -- I saw those too but I'm an 8.5, your previous link turned out to be spectacular for me though so thanks :)

Thanks to all for the insight, and you know what... I'm TOTALLY going to wear them again. I might even make a traveling gnome-esque collage about it in 2011.  LOL.

I spent $39.95 but I was willing to spend $200. The ones I originally I wanted I was going to have custom made from Nina so i could have the heel height I wanted. I knew I also wanted fuchsia shoes. I happened to be in DSW one day and I stumbled across a pair of Nina fuchsia shoes that were $49.95. I snatched them up--they were the perfect height. I also had a $10 reward coupon. It was perfect timing!

I  spent more than I wanted, but I can definitely wear them again. I found a website that lets you design your own heels and they custom make them for you. Designed my PERFECT shoe for a little over $200! SO excited!

Mine were around $250.  But they retailed for $500 and I was very lucky because they were part of Jimmy Choo's classic collection, so they should not have been on sale.  In fact, I saw them at the Jimmy Choo outlet in Woodbury Commons a few weeks ago for $350.  Years after I bought them!

They're classic gold strappy heeled sandals, so I have had many, many opportunities to wear them since the wedding.  That makes the investment totally worthwhile to me.

If you love them, can afford them, and particularly if you'll wear them again, I say go for it.

I spent 40 dollars.  But if I really cared about shoes I wouldn't mind to spend more...
The ones I bought are simple, comfortable, with short heels.

Where can you get the custom made shoes?  So far...my wedding shoes are free...I bought these awesome rhinestone heels I LOVED for my sisters wedding and only wore them that day. They go awesome w/ my dress, but are not that comfortable. So I am still looking, but if I dont find something I love, Im wearing these

$75.  Twice, d'oh.  At my final fitting I decided that I just couldn't stand to wear the beautiful shoes I had.  Rushed out and bought similar ones with smaller heel.  Don't look as pretty but feel like sneakers in comparison.

I have my eye on $700 Jimmy Choos! They are quite a splurge but they match my dress perfectly and I need a size 4 which most shoes don't come in.
