AW: Engagement Photos!

We just had our shoot with Robert Wayne Photography on Sunday, and got our pictures today.  Bob was amazing- we were so comfortable and had a great time!  Here's the link to the slideshow- I know some of you had asked to see them, after I asked about my hair.  I got my hair done in the morning and did my own makeup.

Which ones should I use for our STD's?

O . . . M . . . G!  I know everyone always says it but these are amazing!  I can't believe how many very different kinds of shots you have to pick from.  We're real excited to have Bob do our wedding, too.

Both of you look great and your hair came out beautiful. 

What did you have in mind for the STD; something with you off to the side and text on the other side?  I really like the one looking down on you with the black and white marble floor off to the side, but it might be hard getting text that's readable on both black and white.  I also like the one with the brick wall.  What'd be really cool for that image is if you can find a font that sort of mimics spray paint like grafitti.

Congratulations; these really are wonderful.

Thanks so much- I'm glad you like them! Did you have engagement shots taken yet?  If not, you're going to have so much fun!  I think for STD's I like the style where it's the photo on top and then info at the bottom, or in a kind of belly band.  I'm thinking about doing it postcard style, so most of the info can go on the back, with just our names and Save the Date on the front.

We didn't plan on an engagement session, but seeing your pics and how much fun it looked like you had, I'm beginning to rethink that decision.

I love the three pics of your FI walking past you.  And the series of him kissing your neck; they both make me giggle.  That one picture where FI is dipping you and you look into the camera; your eyes look positively stunning.  I also thought that shot of your shadow on the wall was real cool, too; I don't think I've ever seen anything like that.

I don't think I'm helping you pick out a picture for your STD at all, but those are the ones that really got my attention.

Love your pics!  Where were they taken?  Where is that path/park?  We are getting a shoot as a part of our photographer package and neither me or my FI are excited... but after seeing these I think it will be fun.

Ann- you totally should do a shoot with Bob- you'll love it!  And no, you didn't help me choose, but that's ok!!  I've been getting lots of comments from family and friends about which ones they like, and they're all different! 

Giaspo- We had them taken at the mansion at FDU in Madison.  Our photographer is an alum, so he was able to get a permit to shoot there.  Glad you like them!

What a wonderful set of pictures.  I don't think I've ever seen so many different looks and styles of photos from just one engagement session.  And in the middle of winter, no less!

I like the piano pictures, some of the wide shots involving the columns, and I think that one of the three shots you walking past your FI is a hoot!  I also like the ring shots; again, so many different ones.

You can't make a bad choice; they're all wonderful.

Erin- I pm'd you back, but got you mixed up with golfchick78- your handles are so similar!  She's using Robert Wayne, so that's why I said in the message, "you're using him, right?" don't think I'm crazy- just a little mixed up! 

Also, you ladies have lots and lots of favorites!  I'm going to make several mockup STD's and see which one I like the best- I'll post it when I'm done.  Thanks for looking at the pictures!

I love the last 3 in the park.  The very last one of you kissing is the best, but I love all 3 in the park.  Good luck.  They all came out great!
