What kind of pens did you leave out?  I went to Michael's asking for a pen that dries fast and won't smear, but I didn't find anything other than a Sharpie.  Maybe that would be fine?

    I used sharpies for my guest book, but the paper was like actual printer paper not glossy. The only time I think you'll run into problems with markers is if the paper is glossy and won't let the ink bleed. Maybe test some out on your book in the back?

    My paper was glossy so I got photo pens.
