Florentine Gardens & their house band-Anyone?

Does anyone have any experience with Florentine Gardens and or their house band?  I don't see much on the boards about Florentine which makes me curious. I am considering them and would love any input-

Florentine Gardens was very popular here on the boards for awhile, but nobody seems to have gotten married there lately so it doesn't get as much mention.   I have always seen it get great reviews and all of the girls that have come and gone that got married there loved it and raved about it.    I have heard many great reviews from others who have been there as well.

Not sure about the band so I can't help you there.

My cousin's friend got married there and loved it. I havan't been to a wedding there myself. She did however not like Sal who is the leader of the house band there. She said he was very arrogant so she went with somebody else.

i went to a wedding there a few months ago that used the house band. i thought they were horrible! more than half of the party left by 10:30pm and the wedding wasn't over until midnight. i would definitely research another company. they just couldn't get the music right and keep everyone on the dance floor. i felt so bad when we left because otherwise the wedding was beautiful.

hmm...I haven't heard the band yet but they have a showcase every month. The next one will be on the 19th and I will be going to hear them play as my wedding will be at the Florentine gardens.  I'm not sure if I will use them yet since I havent heard any reviews on the actual house band but I have heard great reviews on the venue.

i toured florentine gardens, but ultimately decided on a different venue site, but it is definitely beautiful. i know people who have had wonderful experiences there, but don't know anything about the house band.

Im going to the showcase also...I'm nervous and very reluctant to hire the band as I do not know of anyone who has used them.  I'll at least go and listen.  I appreciate the help and anyone else please tell me more if they know anything about the  house band!!

I got married at Florentine Gardens several months ago and decided not to use the house band.  Personally, I was not impressed at all.  I went to a showcase expecting them to be great and was very disappointed.  I didn't think they sounded that good and they all looked like they wanted to be somewhere else that night.  I thought that maybe they had an off night however I then went to a wedding there several months later where they played and they were exactly the same.  They had no energy and people didnt seem into them at all.  Definitely look around because you can find so many better bands out there.  Plus, I felt that they were so overpriced for their quality.  I actually was very surprised by them b/c Florentine Gardens is such a wonderful venue, you'd think their band would be of same quality.

One more thing I forgot to mention is that Sal will keep calling and calling you about the band so if you decide not to use them, make sure you tell him right away.
