Day of Coordinator

Did you use one? I don't know if I can swing the cost into our budget, but Im starting to think it would have been nice to have someone else there to run things for me.

How did it go? Any advice?

You don't necessarily need to pay for one, but you MUST designate a friend to handle the details - someone to answer all the little questions, to tell the groomsmen to shut up and get in line, to remind you that your reception ends in 5 minutes and you haven't tossed your bouquet yet - it really makes a huge difference not to have to be the person staring at the timeline. I think there is an old thread with girls on here who were interested in doing it for each other. I had a friend do it and gave her a small gift and a $50 Target gift card.

i didn't think it was necessary to begin with but here at 123 days out i ended up hiring one this past weekend. unfortunately, i thought i would have had more help and i am not comfortable asking anyone since everyone is coming from out of town.
like PP said if you have a friend who can do it then i would go that direction, save you tons of money.

I hired a friend to do ours... we paid her $150- she was responsible for setting up the dessert table, setting out all flowers, lighting all candles, getting programs out... ect.

that said, many girls here have offered to do it for each other, I am willing to do it :-)
