Second guessing my dress?

I would love opinions. I really liked my dress when I bought it, but we got in the 1st day I went to try on dresses. I went w/ my mom yesterday to look for MOB dresses (she found a beautiful one!). And now looking at the dresses again makes me wonder if I made the right choice. This is the dress I bought:
http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=J1318  It wont be in for a few more months, so I cant try it on, but I got it in diamond white and it was much less shiny in person

This is the dress I wasnt able to try on, but keep looking at and really think is beautiful: http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=A3365

Am I crazy? Are they both really nice? I'm not the type of person who is gonna try on a dress and be like "this is the one" which I think makes me second guess myself more too. Which dress do you like better? I should mention mine will not have the halter, it will be strapless w/ the sweetheart neckline.

I think they are both beautiful dresses.
I just ordered mine, and Im second guessing myself as well. I also got it on the first day, which is very unlike me with anything so it was especially shocking with a wedding dress.
I really like the Ambrosia... I know that doesnt make your decision any easier, but they are both beautiful!

Thank you- I think the hardest thing is I cant find pics of my dress on a real person anywhere and the other dress I can. Nothing I can really do about it anyway since we put a deposit down, but still second guessing haha

Maybe you should go try it on again, that may be the one thing that will make up your mind. I think they are both pretty, but the one you got is sooooo beautiful i def think you made a good choice with the one you got.

You picked your dress for a reason and I guarantee you that when you're able to put your dress on in your size and in your color, you're going to remember why you chose it in the first place.

Before my dress arrived I was second guessing myself like crazy (especially in the last couple of weeks before it arrived in the shop).  In fact, as insane as it sounds, I refused to look at myself in the dressing room mirror while the consultant laced up the back because I was scared I wouldn't like what I saw.  I literally had to take a deep breath before walking outside, stepping up on the pedastal, and taking a look.  But once I did I remembered why I had chosen that dress in the first place and I couldn't stop smiling because I realized how silly I was for second guessing my choice as much as I did.  It sound stupid, but it was a big purchase and I just couldn't help but wonder if I made the right decision... especially because, like you, I never got the flood of emotions that so many brides talk about when they find "the one."

It'll all be fine and I have a feeling you're going to love your dress once you're able to put it on.  Besides, who's to say that the other dress you like won't look like absolute crap on you (no offense, haha)... just keep telling yourself that, though.  There were some dresses I tried on that I thought would look awesome on me and, instead, they looked worse than I could have ever imagined!  :-)

I am biased when it comes to the Ambrosia.. I've had my eye on that dress since the very first time I flipped through a bridal magazine, and no matter how many other dresses I look at, I always go right back to that one.

The one you picked however, is gorgeous! I LOVE the beading and I actually like the back of the dress alot more than the Ambrosia.. I feel the Ambrosia's train is too poofy and almost jelly-fish looking. It's kinda what's making me only 99% and not 100% crazy about it.

I think it's good in a way that you can't find a "real life" picture of it.. that means it'll be something that most people will probably only have seen YOU in. If you notice, the Ambrosia is everywhere (another reason I'm hesitant) ..in every bridal magazine featuring Maggie Sottero and the first dress that pops up on her website.
Not saying that this should be a reason for anyone not to get that dress, but it should maybe make you feel a little better about your decision.

I really love it and am sure you will look exquisite in it!

I love the first one, the second looks like a sparkly comforter.  Of course though your opinion is what matters.  When I went  with my BMs to look at dresses I was always tempted, but if you keep looking, you'll always find something new and exciting.  Just trust your instinct!

    I thought the same thing!!

The first one is beautiful.  You have great taste.  Trust your gut.  You picked that dress for a reason.  Once it comes in and you get fitted you will be happy with what you picked I am sure of it!   <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif" border="0" alt="Laughing" title="Laughing" />

I love the dress you chose and that is really saying something from me because I'm not a Maggie fan at all.  The second dress has way too much going on.  You should try on the sample again and DON'T look at other dresses.  I'm totally with you on not getting the "this is the one" feeling and I too have second guessed my dress.  I just keep thinking back to when I looked in the mirror and thought 'I love this more than the other dresses'.  Good luck!!  Your dress is beautiful!

I like the one you got much better than the 2nd.  I am not a fan of the bottom of the Ambrosia.   I think you made a great choice, the Allyssa is beautiful!!    Like the pp said, STOP looking at other dresses, it will only make you crazy.

I prefer the first dress.  The second is too poufy.  There is a reason you chose your dress.  There are thousands of dresses, if you keep looking after you buy yours, there will always be one more dress.  Stick to your gut.

Thanks- you all made me feel a lot better :) I guess the reason I am most nervous about the dress is for one, the sample size they had was a size 20 and I am a size 2, so it made it a tiny bit hard to visualize. They did a great job, but the top with the cups looked way too big on me and I am just hoping it wont look like that when it comes in my size. And also, my mom and sister are so sweet, they loved every dress I tried on and wanted me to buy each one, so it was hard to know if they really loved this one more or just liked everything haha. Im glad you all seem to like mine and I agree, the Ambrosia is everywhere- it is beautiful but does have a lot going on (prob why I like it- I love bling haha). And I havent tried it on, but it looks heavy, which may be hard in June. I will stop thinking about it haha. Thanks again!

Just wanted to let you know that I was just like you when it came to my dress.  So I COMPLETELY understand where you are at right not.  I am also not the type of person to say "i found the one"  I went crazy as it got closer to the wedding over my dress (some of the girls on here remember)  But I ended up going with my first choice and I am really happy that I did.

Oh and the 1st one is beautiful, I love it!

I think the first one is gorgeous! I agree that there is way too much going on with the 2nd dress. Stick with your original choice. I also got my dress the first time out shopping. I definitely stopped looking and can't imagine having another dress.

Ambrosia was my number one dress that I wanted to try. I went bridesmaid dress shopping for my friend's wedding and saw that dress on display. I knew I wanted to try it on when I went dress shopping, but the first place I went to didn't have the dress so I didn't try it. The second place (the place I got my dress) had Ambrosia, but I didn't want to try it on anymore....when I looked closely I didn't like things about it (the flower looked really cheap to me). It's also heavy and my wedding is in August (and I'm kind of a weakling to carry around a heavy dress all day anyway haha) so I kept saying no to all the heavy dresses (even though I really liked one, but I couldn't imagine carrying it around all day). Also, when I looked at pics online of brides on their wedding day in the dress, the back of it looked really weird....it didn't fluff out like it looks like it should in the pics on the website. It just looked really funky to me.

If I was you, I'd stay with your first choice. You chose it for a reason. My dress is Kara by Maggie, and I loved it as soon as I put it on. But a week later I started wondering if that was the right choice and maybe I should have gotten something different....eventually that feeling passed after I looked at the pics of the dress again and my mom always tells me how excited and happy I looked when I came out in the dress and she could just tell I would pick that dress. It reassured me I made the right decision. It's kind of like taking tests...they usually say your first choice is the best/right choice...don't second guess yourself! lol

The bottoms are very different. Meaning the first one is the modified A line and the 2nd I believe is a ballgown.  If you fell in love with the first one I dont know if you would love the 2nd one as much bc its SO MUCH MORE DRESS.  Like to carry and such.  I bought a maggie modified A line and Love that its close to my body so that I can be on the dancefloor all night and not be feeling like a big balloon.
