Photography advice... help!!

We researched a few photographers and thought we had selected one a few weeks ago, but recent events have left us without a photographer.  We are getting married in Union County, and I am looking for good photographers - not too expensive, with a more artistic, less traditional style.

I'd love some advice!!!!  Who are you using?  Why did you choose them?

THANKS!!!!!

Ditto. We all know that everyone's bank account is different, so you might want to give us a price range so we can suggest only those within it.<div>
</div><div>FWIW, I'm using RyoNo Photo. He is based out of Warwick, NY, but regularly travels all over the NE for weddings. I'm doing his basic basic package which came with all day coverage, an engagement shoot & an assistant for under $2K. If I can save enough, I'm going to add on a photobooth too :)</div>

Sorry I was so vague with the pricing - we are hoping to be under $4000 including and album, all the images on CD and a few larger good quality prints.  Ideally I would like to be under $3000, but I am finding it very hard to find someone who is available on such short notice, has good reviews, and can get all I need for that price.

PP I will PM you for that information.  Thanks!

It would help to know what you mean by "not too expensive".

We're working with Robert Wayne Photography.  He's very reasonably priced; I would say from about $2k -$3k+ depending on what you want.  We like his style a lot; kind of soft and romantic but also fun and engaging.  He's a la carte so we get to build our package after the wedding, not before.  Finally, we really clicked with him personally; we thought he was a good guy and would be great to work with.

I know others here have spoken highly of him which helped our decision.

We are using Stephanie Jones Photography.  I was looking for the same style as you, more artistic, less traditional & reasonably priced which was proving difficult because whenever I loved someone's style they were way over budget.

I came across Stephanie's website, we met with her, got along great & booked her a couple days later.  We're paying under $3000 & we're very happy with our decision!

If you're interested in seeing her pricing PM me your email address & I can send you the sheet. Here's her website: http://stephaniejonesphotography.com

You should check out our vendor site : http://nnjknottievendors.weebly.com/

Or search our board for photographers - this question is asked pretty frequently so you should get a good variety of recommendations from that.

My photog was just under $4K for e-pics, two photogs on wedding day, our album, 2 parent albums, 2 parent portfolios (8 pics each), discs of all the pics (e-pics and wedding) and two framed pics--one from the engagement shoot and one from the wedding (wedding is larger--maybe 16x20 or something?).

We used Jessica Lauren Photography and could not be more pleased with our pictures and the fast turn around. She was everything I wanted in a photog--professional, artistic/romantic style, got all the pics, worked quickly and unobtrusively--and we're so glad we went with her!
