you seem to be the go to person when it comes to nyc restaurants/bars, so i was wondering if you have any suggestions for happy hour tomorrow. i am going to nyc with my fi (dragging him to the rachael ray show with me) and we are going to spend the day. i figure after the show we will go to eataly- been there 5 times already- love that place!! afterwards some some shopping in SoHo and walking around. then i was thinking about grabbing some drinks/appetizers before heading home...any suggestions?

    How will you be heading home (meaning what method of transportation) and what kind of place are you looking for (wine? dive bar? swanky? good beer list? cocktails?)?

    There are a ton of great places near Soho!

    we will be heading home by the PATH to hoboken. i was thinking of something swanky. i would love a place unique cocktails/martinis too. TY!

    I would maybe try Employees Only (on Hudson between Christopher and W. 10th -- about a block away from the Christopher St. PATH station -- the sign in the window says "Psychic") or Little Branch (Leroy and 7th so a little farther away from PATH stations -- very non-descript door).  They're affiliated with each other and are known for their "mixology."

    Another thought would be Pegu Club on Houston just east of West Broadway (upstairs next to Dos Caminos).  It also has a lot of fancy cocktails.
