DOES ANYONE KNOW OF ANY RESTORED BARN VENUES

I'm from northern NJ...
does anyone know of any old wedding chapels for the ceremony?

also, I want an indoor reception site..something with a vintage feel..not TOO country.
does anyone know of any barn-like venues? I'd like something with nice wooden beams on the ceiling.

I'm getting married in early summer. with approx. 150 guests.

If you can give us a few more details we may be able to better help you.  When are you looking to get married?  The time of year can impact your venue choice.  How many guests?  What is your budget and/or how much are you willing to spend per person?

Good luck with your planning and welcome to the board!

Perona Farms has a barn, but i'm pretty sure it can no long be used to hold weddings. The receptions are held in another building on the property.

Crossed Keys Inn is in Andover, IDK if that is too far for you.

Lake Valhalla Club in montville is a tudor style with beamed ceilings.

The 76 House is in Old Tappan, NY but not far across the state lines, is very old with lots of charm. I'm pretty sure there is an old chapel in the area too.

Would you consider mansions? The Oakside Manor in Bloomfield is beautiful in the victorian style but the reception would be in a tent in the backyard.

Check out http://www.newjerseybride.com/ they have a good venue search.
    Good Luck!

The Park Avenue Club is an old barn. It's a private club so you'll have to pay a membership fee (that put us over our budget per person) but the pictures looked beautiful.

There is an old church on Route 23 in Wantage near the municipal building and EMT squad building that is only used for weddings. I am not sure about a barn-like venue though..

Farmstead Golf & Country Club in Lafayette is exactly that and has a lot of dark, exposed wood including beams.
