Wedding Day Gift for Husband

Inspired by my month board, I was wondering what kinds of gift(s) you are planning on giving your future husband on your wedding day/what gift(s) you gave your husband on your wedding day? Or what gift(s) did your wives give you? I am thinking I may want to get him a piece of jewelry, but I'm not sure yet.

I did a watch and a grooms cake!  He wears his watch all the time and he loved the cake!

My FI and I decided that our gift to each other will be renewing our Devils season tickets. I'm really happy about it because I thought we'd have to give those up.

I gave my husband a pocket watch and a few other small things. He really wanted one and loved it. I also got him an ice cream grooms cake for our rehearsal dinner. He was a big fan.

I just got him a really nice watch. He doesn't have one, so I know that is something he really wants/needs.

My H is a huge Blues Brothers fan, so I got him the authentic Ray Bans they wore.  That inspired me to buy Blues Brothers hats, and costume sunglasses for the rest of the guys.  We got a great photo op out of it!

We decided we weren't going to exchange wedding gifts.  Instead we are putting that money towards an extra activity on our honey moon.

I'm doing a theme gift thing for him; i'm giving him a nice watch (to get to the church on time), some argyl socks (in case he gets cold feet), scotch (to calm his nerves) and a Jason Pier Paul autographed helmet (for being my biggest fan).

Wow - thanks so much for all the great ideas! I think I'm definitely going to do a groom's cake for the rehearsal dinner and maybe a watch.

Gymchick - was that fish tank/keg temporary for the reception? or something you can keep in your house ? Looks really interesting! :]

xanabela - no thats our house. Its a show called Tanked and I had them make and surprise him with a keg shaped tank that pours beer with his favorite fish inside

I don't think we will be doing gifts either.  We are paying for a good portion of the wedding ourselves and decided to go "all out" on our honeymoon, so I would rather spend the money on that and not a gift - we have the rest of our lives to give each other gifts

However, if money was no object, I would probably get him a nice watch. But he really likes watches

I LOVE THIS IDEA!!!! I was thinking about buying season ticket for him but I'm not sure how much it would be, I know they always have deal though!

I bought my husband a Movado watch he wanted, and he hasn't worn it since our wedding day because he needs a link added in and he's been too lazy to go get it done. (sigh)  He does love the watch though, and if it fit him properly he'd wear it.

I got mine an ipad. I wanted to get him a watch, but 6 months before the wedding he bought himself a nice one! Doh!

I gave my fiance a really nice watch shortly after we became engaged- so that is it for him! I gave it to him early so he would have it. I figured it didn't matter. I don't expect him to get me anything b/c I really don't need anything and the wedding band is pricey.

I think we are just going to make our wedding bands act as gifts for each other. To be honest, an additional gift after spending so much money seems like it would just be unncessary for me. And I am normally all about buying gifts!
