Happy Friday Ladies! I was just hoping I could some input on the cost of alterations. I bought my dress a while back and I am about to start shopping around for a seamstress/tailor. One place (a bridal shop) quoted me a flat $500 for 3 fittings and any necessary alterations throughout the process, regardless of how minor or major they are. I haven't gotten any other quotes yet, but I thought it might be helpful to know what others have paid. Both bridal shops and private seamstress/tailors would help

    My bridal salon qouted me $475 for all alterations including bustle.  I tried on the sample size in the store and it fit perfectly as is, so I'm just hoping real dresses and samples are cut exactly the same way (this was not the case once as a bridesmaid) and I won't need any alterations. But, it means that I would then be paying $475 for a bustle alone.

    For bridesmaids/mother of the bride, I have seen $99 qouted for all alterations.
