*Lets talk rain* What did you do on your day? What will you do if it rains?

Just wondering what everyone did if they had rain on their wedding day?
And what do some of you ladies have in mind to do if it rains on your day?

Did you or do you have a back-up plan for pictures? If so, what?

My mom asked where we will do pics if it should rain and I don't have a clue.

I am wondering the same thing!!!  where are you having your wedding?  ours is at lake valhalla in montville.  no idea what we will do for pics if it rains.  maybe the hotel will have some nice areas? or your venue will allow you to come early to take pics.  mine wont because there is another wedding earlier that day.

I didn't have rain, but my backup plan included a really cute pair of rainboots which would have made for some fun pictures.  We also bought umbrellas for me and the girls so we could still take some pics outdoors at the venue, and we would have also taken some pics inside the venue.

We already know that we're having the ceremony indoors in our ballroom if it rains. They'll just partition off half of the ballroom and make rows for seating.

As far as pictures, the lobby of the hotel that we're having the wedding at is pretty cute and I'm sure we'll be able to take fun pictures. There's also a great awning for cars to pull up so we might even get out there and take a few pictures.

dmargan, we're getting married at the LVC too, next week. I haven't even thought of a rain plan! there are actually some really beautiful pics that i've seen online of weddings  in the rain (obviously more mist than downpour). also, i've heard of people doing like bridal shots after the wedding...clearly not ideal, but just as a last backup.
