Hi everyone! New here & wanted to introduce myself =)

Hello all!!

I am fairly new to the message boards & just wanted to say hello!! soo hii!! ..I've been reading some posts & think you all are very helpful & for the most part really nice (& ppl have the nerve to say we Northerns are rude! LOL).  

Anyway, I'm getting married August 2012! 11 months to go! I'm so excited! I have my venue & church, & videographer...am now in search for a photographer but have several in mind thanks to your posts..oh & same goes for flowers & limos! so0o thanks guys!! I know I'm going to have a hard time finding a DJ bcuz my FI is a DJ himself so he is extemely picky 

I've posted like 3 questions here but haven't gotten a reply...am I doing something wrong??  Also when I try to PM it redirects me to my account page to update the info & when I submit, it just keeps redirecting me..any suggestions?  Anyway, I hope you all have a great Sunday!!

Hi Keyri, congrats & welcome... Where are you getting married?

The PM stytem is a little funny here since you never get a notification when you have one.  If you just click on the "private messages" link to the left it should take you to the right place.  I don't recall any questions from you which is weird to since I browse here during my work day and sometimes, but not often, at night. 

Also, there is a whole website dedicated to reviews but I feel that it's just easier to scream it here since some places are reviewed but not all. 

I am thrilled w/ all of our vendors so far so if you need advice just PM me and I will be happy to share all of my info!

Hi! thanks for the welcome ..now I feel official! LOL..My church is in Jersey City & my venue is the Richfield Regency in Verona, NJ.. I actually commented on a post you started! the one where you asked if anyone was still in the market for a photographer..i posted on 9/7/11...i see if from my computer but i dont know maybe it didnt go thru?? I am open to any suggestions & I think referrals are the best way to find vendors so I will try to PM you, if it doesnt work, I'll let you know thanks!!

P.S. I wish i could browse from work, but the site is blocked at my job..I guess they're smart because if not, I'd be on it all day! hehe

Hi Keyri, welcome to the board and happy planning!

Your best bet if you have a question is to start a new thread.  When you comment in a thread there is no guarantee that the people who commented before you will look again.  Especially if it is a thread that is more than a day or two old since we get a decent amount of traffic here.

If you have a question for a specific person you can page them, for example if you need to page me you post a thread with *jcg98* as the subject line and put your question in the post or else let me know you have sent a PM.

In general if you post a question you are likely to get answers, unless it is about a vendor that nobody is familiar with or has used.

I hear ya... Im having surgery Weds so I am sure once I am coherent I will be on most of the time & doing wedding stuff for the week I am off!  My photog is from JC I will send you his info now

Our wedding is September 23rd, so I should have a pretty detailed review for you after that! So far, they have been great with everything.

Also, if you click on the little magnifying glass by your post, you can see everything youv'e posted.. and I don't see any threads that you've started here..maybe they didn't go through? Not sure what happened..but I don't believe we ever saw any questions from you

Oh wow cindy your wedding is close! yyaayyy...& I'm excited to hear that we have the same venue so0o yes please please give me a detailed review (when you come back from your honeymoon of course! ) I really liked them there..they made me feel comfortable & like I've known them for a while! oh & this is the first thread I started myself but i had posted questions on a few others..but now I think I know why I didnt get a response...it's probably because the posts were already old...I am however having difficulties with my PM...I think it's my page..I emailed the website so lets see if they can help! @ Lissy! thanks sooo much! heyy welcome and happy planning!for our dj we went with LJ Productions in Belleville. Jack is amazing. he was referred to me by my cousin who attended some events that he did. he just won dj of the year award at a convention and also hosts the Trump party. he is def worth checking out!

I'm actually your neighbor on the other side now. FI and I had to move to Bayonne but I will always be a Hoboken girl. I'd go back tomorrow if I could. I'm still there about 3 times a week LOL.
