Bridgewater Manor

Hello!

I just got engaged over the holidays and am excited to start planning!

I checked out the BWM online (have been to a few functions there and thought they were lovely) and like the "Deluxe" wedding package they have offered.

Does anyone have a price range for this?  Reviews, suggestions?

Thank you!

I got married there and was very happy with things. If you want to email me I'd be happy to tell you our experiences. My email is swalcheski at gmail dot com.

I visited there and did not like it. Didn't feel like we were getting much for the price. Their basic package was cheap, but it didn't come with much. They should be able to email you the packages and prices.

My best advice is to go there and see for yourself- we did not have the same experience/package that Cindy describes.

Me neither. Compared to most venues in the central NJ area, the Bridgewater Manor has a huge cocktail hour, and a lot of entree choices. The food per dollar value is incomparable.

We went twice, once over the summer and dealt with Michael. Then again in December and dealt with Pat. Both times, we were greeted like we were the only couple getting married.

Compared to the other dozen venues we saw, their prices were comparably low for what they offer.

We ultimately booked with them for this April.

Thank you all for the input.  I agree, they offer a great deal for the money.  The deluxe package seems wonderful.  5 1/2 hrs - includes viennese, chair covers, hotel for bride/groom, nice cocktail hour.  Have been trying to get pricing from them though.

I've been to other functions there and think the food is great!

Does anyone know if they charge different prices during different seasons?  Are they willing to negotiate?

They definitely charge different prices depending on the month. We weren't able to get them to lower the price per head for October but they did lower the minimum (from 175 to 150 for the imperial room). When we were considering December (Nov was booked) they were very willing to negotiate with the prices and the add-ons. Hope that helps and let me know if you have any other questions!

I am getting married there in July and had a great experience with Michael when I was looking at venues.  I felt very comfortable there and it just felt right. Price was a big thing for us (love that the tip is not 20% like some places - those "little" things really add up).  I have to agree with Sherri though - you just need to check the place out for yourself and see what works.  What you LOVE other people may not feel comfortable with and vice versa.

    Best of luck!

I'm having my wedding there in September and I've been very happy so far. For the price, there was not much in the area that could compare for me. It has a beautiful outside area, which I thought was hard to find and sort of sold me on the place. We had a tasting and their food was amazing. The amount of food you get for the cocktail hour is unreal and the gratuity is only 8% as opposed to the traditional 20%

With the food, ceremony fee, taxes and gratuity, we are going to be spending approximately $110 pp which was perfect for my budget.

    Hope that helps. Good luck!
