Shoes.. ugh.. (Vent)

SOo I have yet to find shoes that I like. My fitting with Olga is this coming Saturday and Im supposed to have the shoes Im going to wear with me so that we get the height right.

Are there any shoe goddesses out there that could help?
Im looking for a fun colored shoe (Ideally purple)
Flat, size 11 (Im 6ft tall. . I hate my big feet)
And something that wont break my budget (I'd let to keep it under $40 if at all possible)

Does anyone have ANY suggestions? Im in the Raleigh area and poor FI went with me to every place that had shoes on Saturday in the Cary Crossroads and Apex Beaver creek area

Did you try DSW? I LOVE DSW! If you didn't find anything in the store you can order online. It's really easy with them because you can return them in the store if you don't like them.

You know, we didnt this weekend. .  usually when I go in there, I can find a shoe I like, but never the size. Im looking at their website now and will stop in there this week. Thanks for reminding me about them!

I've gotta run to work in a minute, but I might have time to look for you later this afternoon. Do NOT be afraid to order online! I have very long, very skinny feet and I just started ordering online last year and love it!! My favorites are zapoos.com, endless.com, and dsw.com. You can also check target.com because they usually have cute flats. I love those sites because zappos/endless have free return shipping and dsw/target have in-store returns. Also, I love how you can search by type of shoe, color, brand, etc. Oh, and as far as actual store shopping, I'd check Belk's at Crabtree. They have the most amazing shoe department ever. HTH!

I agree about not fearing buying shoes online, I ALWAYS do. it's cheaper, u dont pay sales tax on sites like shoes.com or shoebuy.com (i think zappos might charge it), free shipping BOTH WAYS, huuuuge selection, and usually I find good coupon codes online to use. I cant tell you how many pairs I ordered from shoes.com and shoebuy.com when I was looking for wedding shoes. I wound up not liking them, and simply dropped the box off at the nearest UPS store with a pre-paid label, done. Real easy.

PS - I didnt have my wedding shoes when I had my fitting. I made sure to wear shoes that I already owned to the fitting that had exactly 3 inch heels, then I made sure to pick out wedding shoes that had exactly 3 inch heels.

it sounds like if you are wanting flats you don't need them before the fitting since you're not adding really any height.

Also try SRI shoe warehouse. It's in Raleigh near capital blvd. They have lots of shoes at decent prices.

You can shop via Google.  I just typed in "womens purple flats" and clicked the "shopping results".  I like doing it that way because it seems faster than individually shopping each webstie.
