New Jersey

The Nassau Inn, Lambertville Station, and American Hotel

I am looking for some feedback regarding these three venues.  If you know something about any of them, please let me know.  I am originally from NJ but now live in California and am trying to make a short list of venues to see when I fly back for a visit.  Thanks in advance.

The Lambertville station is on a beautiful location but their menu does not include a lot for the price they are asking.  The Nassau Inn has a historic feel to it, but parking is an issue for guests.  I believe they have to park in a garage which is a block or 2 away.

Thanks.  That's what I heard as well, but was doubling checking.

We checked out the Nassau Inn, too.  Princeton is a great town for guests to explore, but there are nicer venues in the area.

I didn't really like the way the reception movement was explained to us.  There are 3 rooms- and the reception is upstairs.  The bar would be in the hallway and if you have any guests that wouldn't be able to handle stairs, they would have to go through the kitchen to the service elevator or something like that.

There's another room upstairs (in the hallway guests walk down to their rooms) that would be great if you were having a smaller wedding, which we actually really liked, but we couldn't really cut our list.

I was at a Nassau Inn wedding last year, and I have to agree, the food was not great! The scenery was great for their pictures, and the interior of the Inn is up to date, but the food killed it :-(

Look at The Grand Summit Hotel or The Madison Hotel or Olde Mill Inn if you want that historic inn feel.

Went to a wedding at the Lambertville Station and it was awesome.  The food was amazing and the atmosphere was really cool, esp. for fall time.  The only thing is that if you have a larger wedding, the cocktail hour was a little cramped.
