shower hostess gifts

Hi Ladies,

All of my female adult cousins and aunt (3 cousins ages mid 40's through 50ish, and aunt in 70's) have been very generous in spending time, effort, and money to throw me a lovely shower in a few weeks.  I would like to thank them with a gift that is appropriate to show my sincere appreciation.  I don't want to give them jewelry because their styles are very different but I really want them to know how special they have made me feel and how much I value what they have done for me.  I am not particularly close with them; we didn't grow up together because they are considerably older than me.   Any ideas?

Thanks!

Sometimes a personal and handwritten note or card expressing how grateful you are is the best gift there is.

Edit: I just want to add that there are some situations and circumstances for which I, personally, believe that giving a thank you gift is unnecessary or even inappropriate.  In your case, I really do feel as though a very genuine note or card would suffice because your family members are throwing you a shower as a gift to you and because you're family, not because they have to or because you asked them to do so.
