Arthur's in Hoboken is very good and very reasonably priced. Not very fancy but I like it.

Every time I have been to Flemmings, both service and food were really good.  Ruth Chris, food was good, but service was rushed and non attentive.  When you are spending NYC prices for dinner, I expect a great experience as well as great food.

I do really like Flemings food and service.  I do have to note that I have had issues with the steak not being cooked the way I asked.  ( I once had to send it back 5 times because I asked for Medium Well and I got it Rare a few times) But overall, I do really enjoy it!

If I had to pick my favorite steak place, I would have to say River Palm! Love it there!

I really enjoyed Flemings a lot.  Mortons is a fav of my husbands.  I heard Steakhous 85 in New Brunswick is good, but I have never been.

I've been to the Flemings in Edgewater and thought it was better than the Ruths Chris in Weehawken.

Somebody mentioned Arthurs...I had heard nothing but great things about that place but we went there a couple of months ago and I was not impressed with the food or overall restaurant.

It's not in the same league as the others, but it's also much less expensive.  I guess if there is something to be impressed about it's value/price.  Where else you can get a 24 ounce steak for 20 bucks!

We don't go to fancy or expensive restaurants often (well, let's be real here, we rarely go to expensive places at all :P) ... so from what I've heard about these other places, I definitely wouldn't put Arthur's in the same category as them.

But IMO it's really tasty and a great value. It's definitely nothing fancy, but I think the food's pretty good and like User said you probably won't find that amount of decent steak in most restaurants for that price. And I LOVE their potatoes!

Parking in Hoboken is a biitch, though.

Thanks all!! We are going there for dinner on Wednesday or Thursday to try it out:) We've been to Arthurs. definitely can't beat the $$$ but we were looking for more of an upscale place. I like Ruth's Chris and River Palm (River Palm is my fave!) but want to try somewhere else! Thanks again!
