Sunless Tanner FAIL

Since the board is dead today, I figured I'd share my embarrassment...

Our engagement pictures are on Sunday, and I was feeling pretty pale (read: vain) so I decided to buy the Jergans tanning lotion because it was on sale and I had a coupon.

Yesterday I noticed that my left arm appeared to be breaking out in hives, but I attributed it to a crappy stressful day at work. So, I got home, showered and began to reapply the lotion...

About 15 minutes later my body was on fire and completely broken out in hives. Now I'm just hoping that the Benadryl and Cortaid cream get rid of the bumps before Sunday. So much for my cancer-free tan. Long sleeves in 80 degree weather sounds awesome =)

EPIC FAIL

Check the ingredients.  You are allergic to SOMETHING in it.  I am allergic to certain oils... I am very careful with face things.

I'm allergic to basically everything. Get the cortaid cooling spray and it works wonders! One spray and it literally stops my itching immediately.

    So sorry about your fail!!

That happened to me with the Body Shop tanner. Not fun.

I am also allergic to almost everything - it sounds like something an old woman would do, but if the redness hasn't gone down yet, try an Oatmeal Bath...

    Good luck!

I am  sorry to hear about what happened.  I hope the allergic reaction disappear soon.
I was thinking about writing a post here about the same product.  But I didn't know if anyone would be interested.
I bought 2 weeks ago the Jergans tanning moisturizer basically for the same reason.  It was on sale so I though "Why not trying it?".  I had my graduation and a party last week, and I was hoping to have some tan on my legs since I was going to wear a dress in both occasions.
I am very happy with the product.  I have been using for 2 weeks now.  I am looking now lightly tan.  I am so happy! I wasn't super white for my graduation and now I have a little bit of color on my legs to use spring dresses.
