Question for W.O. Manor Brides - Imperial Room

I'm wondering where you set up/are setting up your dj?  I was told they normally set them up in the atrium part of the room, but I'm a little nervous how that works out.  If you did it that way can you please let me know how it was? I saw someone on here set the dj up inside the room and she said it worked out great.  Thanks!

I was just at a wedding there a few weeks ago and the DJ was set up in the room on the wall facing the atrium. I thought it worked out fine.

I attended a wedding there about 5 years ago, and that's where the band was setup as well. Personally, I thought it was cramped (and it was not a large wedding).

We had them in the atrium and it was fine. The DJ's setup was pretty big so it worked well to have it out there. Plus, our they had these lights which gave a nice ambiance to the cocktail hour room.  Also with the DJ out there, music wasn't blaring in your ear. It was loud enough without it being overwhelming.

But also, it depends on how big your wedding is. We had 175 so we pretty much filled the room with our guests so it would have been too cramped with the DJ in the Imperial room.

Our DJ said he prefers to be inside the room and we'd actually prefer for him to be inside as well so he can read the crowd but, for us, it's really going to depend on the number of guests who wind up coming.

I attended a wedding in that room with this type of set up. Personally I didnt care for it, but The Manors ballrooms aren't huge, so there was no other option since their wedding had around 180 or so people. I kinda felt like a lot of the sound was lost, flowing out rather then all of it filling the room ( if that makes sense) It did look cool with the fountain behind them though. Just struck me as odd.

i think i will be at max so i will probably need them to set up outside too, i'm glad it worked out well.  two questions, did the dj have plasmas and were you able to see them? and did guests end up dancing out there as well? thanks!

We didn't want plasmas. Here's a pic where you can kind of see the DJ set up in the back:

They had speakers on the sides when you walked into the ballroom so no sound was lost. People mainly danced on the main floor, but there was a bar set up out there to the left (and one inside the ballroom as well) so people were dancing while getting drinks/taking shots ect.
