MGs: Did you have a "honeymoon stage"?

Just wondering... who had a "honeymoon stage"? When did yours end? I feel like we didn't have one, perhaps b/c we didn't go on our actual honeymoon immediately? We leave on Saturday and I hope that increases the romance or something haha.

Does this even exist, or am I searching for something that never would have come anyway? I hate that mushy stuff, but it woulda been nice to have just a little of it. Wow I'm being pathetic.

Not really, but maybe I'm a bad person to comment on this since we've only been married for two months.

To me, things really don't feel much different than they did during our engagement. We now call each other "wife" and "husband" to be silly or sentimental sometimes, but other than that nothing much has changed. We went on a long weekend-style honeymoon and that ended way too quickly. His dad also lives with us, so that really cuts down on the newlywed feeling for me ... I was in quite a bad mood coming back from our honeymoon because of that, actually. Plus we just hate our place and our block so we're dying to move.

I think at times we're a bit more romantic and sentimental because we realize that we're actually married now, but it comes and goes in spurts. It's not a generally lovey-dovey feeling. Once we have our own home, I'm sure both of our moods will perk up (not that we're miserable now, but I think we'll get a "second wind," so to speak).

Not really. I mean I guess when we were on the actual Honeymoon and a week or so after we were still in the glowing wedding stage. However we lived together for a year + before the wedding so like MB said the main difference are the rings, calling eachother wife/husband and the pretty wedding pictures on the walls!

I don't think we're in a honeymoon period, but according to veterans like our parents, we are lol.

No.  We dated for 8+ years and lived together for two years before we got married, so getting married really didn't feel like a change at all.

Not yet married, but we've been together nearly 7 years, and technically lived together most of that time... but, according to all our friends, we are still annoyingly "honeymoon" cute. I guess it depends on personalities.

I think so. *Especially* when we were actually on the honeymoon. But even now when we use the words "husband" and "wife" to refer to each other. We get a little googly-eyed ;-)
