Cover Band - The Benjamins?

Has anyone been to a wedding with or used The Benjamin's as their wedding band?   

I have been going back and forth on whether to have a band or a DJ and decided to check out The Benjamins being that I have always loved seeing them out at the local NJ bars.  I realize playing a wedding is much different than playing in the bar scene so I am wondering if anyone has been to an event where they played? 

Any insight or other band suggestions would be HUGELY appreciated!! - Thanks!! :-)

Come on over to the NJ board, some of the girls there may have, but I suggest also posting on the South Jersey board. Good luck!

My friend had them for her wedding almost 2 years ago and it was THE BEST time.  They played everything imaginable including Polka music for her FI's family.  The dance floor was packed the entire time.  

She had had a daytime wedding so she got a great price since they were still able to go play at a bar later that night.  They even brough a DJ with them to play music during breaks, after their time was up, first dances, etc.  

I'd definitely check them out!  PM me if you have any other questions.

Thanks so much for the info! When you saw them did they have the female vocalist too? Also did they do any cocktail hour music? Sorry for all the questions I really appreciate all of the help.

I was at a wedding where they were playing and they were excellent - when they played. It seemed as if they took a lot of breaks, more than other bands. Then, when they were on break, they had what seemed to be an IPod playing music. In my experience at other weddings, when bands took breaks there were at least a couple of the band members who continuously played while the others were doing their thing.
