I have always liked the classic black and white shirts with some nice jeans or slacks. They always look nice together. I would not go with too many colors (i.e. stripes, florals, etc.) Just my thoughts. Good luck with the photos. The epics are always fun as there is never any pressure and such, no real time crunches. Relax and have fun.

I thnk solid colors look the best, reather than prints so the attention isn't drawn away from your faces.  As far as what colors, I think that depends on what you look good in!  I am partial to bright colors -- and if you will be downtown, brigther colors will help you stand out from the "urban" background.  But if you typically wear black and white or more neutral colors, wear what you are comfortable in!

I wore two blue outfits- I have red hair and I wanted primary colors, since we were outdoors in a wooded area for some of it and my hair tends to camo me sometimes (like a deer!)

The pics that looked the best, I think, were with outfit that was a stronger, darker blue. They just "popped more." I agree with Beth, if you're downtown bright colors might be best. :) My advice is take a couple pics in what outfit you're thinking and then pull them up on your computer. You'll be able to get a better idea of whether the outfit complements you or looks odd in photos. (Example- a light blue, yellow and white striped top I once wore looked great in person, but in photos made me look weirdly yellow and bright in photos. Like an alien. Wasn't cute.)

I agree with Beth again though, comfort is most important!

On a different note, I have had a few bridezilla moments int he past few days, mostly involving the caterer, and mostly justified (I think anyway).  Yesterday there was the quote error (they added up the total in the original estimate wrong, off by alost $500, but luckily they admitted their error and eventually fixed te situation).  I voluntarily send them a timeline of the day yesterday indicating that I plan on the reception being over by 10 but if things happen it may go longer.  I get a response that our contractual time is 2 (setup) to 11, and the cleanup takes an hour so if there are still guests there after 10 the caterers will be vacuuming and mopping........um, we have the venue until 12, and there is NOTHING in the contract that says how long they wlil take for cleanup and that our contract only goes til 11.  They have never even asked me when I planned on it being over, so f I hadn't sent my timeline over, and planned on going past 10 (which I originally did), then we would have had an awkward situation come wedding day.

Grr.  I wrote an email back using my big attorney words and tlling them all the stuff that is not in their contract, and that while I don't anticipate going past ten, I hope they would not be vacuuming while guests are there since there is nothing in the contract about them having to be done by 11.  Just so we all agree what we contracted to.  Probably I should have waited a bit to respond.  Oh well.

Beth, I may need to learn some Big Attorneys Words from you! Not necessarily for the wedding but they sound intimidating. :) I hope everything works out with your venue!

My caterer is AWOL- I can't get her to respond to emails (and I like everything in email so I have a record.) I'm going to call her today but seriously she hasn't emailed me back in three weeks. We're less than two weeks out, and if she wants her final numbers/payment/NOT a freakout from this bride, I need her to drop me a line and tell me she has not run off to Bora Bora!

Everyone else seems so calm... clearly that makes me want to freak out more. :)

In response to EPic outfits, will you get the opportunity to change? We did ours in the fall, so we chose one outfit that complimented each other in light and dark brown paired with jeans, and then we did bright, light blue shirts that matched in color and paired them with khakis. It gave two completely different looks, so when the pictures come back you can decide which you liked better.
