Ceremony Music Suggestions!

Hey girls,I'm trying to decide on music for the ceremony but having a really hard time since I'm not a huge music buff. I'd love to hear what some of you ladies are using at your ceremonies? I will be having a Jewish wedding, but am not looking to use traditional Jewish music. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Re: Ceremony Music Suggestions!

  • I think music by Debussy is absolutely beautiful to use in a ceremony. It's instrumental, classical, romantic, but not traditional (ie used a lot).
  • I'm definitely not looking for any type of religious tone, I'd like to keep is classical. I really like music by Edward MacDowell, but not a fan of too many of the songs I can find other than a Wild Rose.
  • I'm thinking of having our parents walk in to All You need is Love by the Beatles. BM walk to Story Book Love from the Princess Bride (found the sheet music, by the way- thanks, FI) I walk to Canon in D (always wanted that for my wedding.) We'll use Ode to Joy for the recessional. We also listened to Jesu, Joy of Man's desiring. I wasn't sure what that was, but when I listened on YouTube I loved it.

  • We used Sunrise, Sunset for the parents to walk in to.  Bridal party walked in to One Hand, One Heart.  I walked in to Time to Say Goodbye.  All very pretty instrumental songs that don't get used all the time!
