Wedding & Vendor Reviews, Sept. 4, 2011, Season's Catering Etc.

St. Leo’s Church, Elmwood Park, A-

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Fr. Bart and the whole St. Leo’s family.  He went out of his way to bring up some pillars from the church basement so I wouldn’t have to pay the florist to bring them.  Only downside was that the singer decided to wear a peasant dress and knee high casual brown boots to sing at my wedding.  It was a shared laugh between me and my maid of honor on the altar for sure!

 Season’s Catering, Washington Township, A+

I was over the moon about how pleased I was with Season’s.  From start to finish they did everything I asked and accommodated all my requests.  As usual, you get amazing food and superb service.  I can’t tell you how many guests were floored with the cocktail hour, dinner and Viennese.  I mean come on—three ice sculptures, two chocolate fountains and one sushi chef OH MY!  They exceeded all my expectations for food and service. I loved my bridal attendant and can’t say how helpful it was to have someone carry around my purse and give me my lipstick whenever I needed to reapply.  At the end of the night they packed the shuttle with all my gifts and the birdcage and all I had to do was walk out.  I’m hoping someone else I know has a wedding there so I can go back and eat all the food again!

Only one thing I will tell ladies to keep an eye out for.  I booked them in Nov. of ’09 for my wedding in Sept. ’11.  Of course they showed me that glossy yellow tulip covered look-book with the sample menu which is a scallop appetizer, a champagne sorbet and a fish option of red snapper with crab.  When I went to pick out the menu a month before the wedding they wanted me to do a crab cake appetizer, a lemon sorbet and a swordfish fish entrée.  I felt I was being “bait and switched” to lesser priced options.   Various reasons were given to me for the change but in the end I spoke with one of the owners and expressed my dissatisfaction and was given the menu from the look book.  He said those magic words that make a great catering hall, “All I care about is that my brides are happy!”  And the red snapper was amazing BTW! I will definitely use Season’s again for another party!

 Santos Limo, A

I loved Santos!  They showed up early, were professional and had plenty of technology to get us where we needed to go without getting lost.  My driver helped me with my dress and veil and even held my hand when I got nervous to walk down the aisle alone.  He paid me compliments and reminded me to breathe.  I felt like I got a more than just a limo company, I got a cheerleader!

Pink Comb Salon, Michelle LoConte, A+

I will have to say that my hair completed my bridal look the day of the wedding!  I’m so happy I went with the clip-in extensions and Michelle captured my vision perfectly.  I also highly recommend the air brush foundation make-up.  It gives you this angelic, Kim Kardashian looking skin and I loved every minute of it.  Michelle has done my hair for two years and she will continue to do it for many more.  LOVE LOVE LOVE!

 Floral Elegance, Fairlawn, B+

I was very pleased with my bouquet and the flowers over all.  Anna did a great job with my vision on the centerpieces and hit it out of the park on my bouquet which she trimmed with extra crystals from my dress. Everything was really pretty but was missing just that little something extra that I had expected for all the money I spent.

 Zlatko Batistich Photography, A

I have nothing but amazing things to say about Zlatko.  He is a total professional and has an amazing eye for getting shots.  He stayed at the wedding long past the time I paid him to stay because he wanted to get more action shots.  He has integrity in his work and always acts with professionalism and courtesy.  I really clicked with his style when I browsed his portfolio and I was in awe of the engagement photos.  My fiancé and I never take a good a picture unless Zlatko takes it!  I can’t wait to see the wedding pics.

 Marriott, Park Ridge, A

Erika Muller helped me with all the planning.  They did a wonderful job coordinating rooms and shuttles and the breakfast.  I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the entire staff from the bellmen to the event planners.  I would definitely use the venue again.

Thanks for the reviews!!  I am getting married at Seasons next October (almost at the 1 year mark!) so I love hearing such good reviews about them.  It just makes me that much happier I chose them.  I'd love to see pics too if you have any!!  Congratulations!

Mine was up and I loved it.

I was a smaller wedding (125) and we would have been swallowed up by the downstairs room.  What they have done with the building in tray and uplighting  upstairs is amazing and adds so much!
