I want to grab this woman and beat her up. Stop it with t he Jersey shows already.  I am not one of these people and I am tired of being portrayed as one just bc I am from NJ.

Jersey Shore is the highlight of my (television) week... last night I bought Edy's Chocolate Fudge Brownie specifically to eat as I watch tonight. I will definitely be watching this show!

Danes I agree that these people aren't representative of NJ as a whole, but they sure are fun to watch!

I agree it's entertaining but I am so tired of leaving the state and people asking "wait you're from jersey?!?!, why aren't you orange and where is your poof?" It's just sad, there are so many great area's of Jersey and a lot of diversity. Reality TV has taken one stereotype and ran with it!

i was in SC on vacation over the summer and someone actually said to me "you're from NJ? but y'all look normal"
it does bother me too sometimes, but i also wonder why so many people believe the reality shows they watch are actuallyreality(and i LOVE reality tv)

It's a trainwreck... I can't help but watch with my hands over my eyes peeking between my fingers. Ugh, I don't even like television and these damn shows suck me in.

I'm originally from New York and now that I've lived in New Jersey and have seen other parts of the state it does seem unfortunate that this is all the world knows of NJ.

I cannot watch Jersey Shore. I watched it for 10 minutes once to see what the hype was about and my IQ dropped 20 points. I will not watch this either. I did watch RHNJ or as the lady I overheard on night at DQ in Wyckoff (right next to where some of them live) said "The Bitches of Franklin Lakes". It was awful and totally misrepresentative of what people from that area are like, but it was a train wreck I couldn't turn away from.

I don't much concern myself with how Reality TV may give people the wrong idea of NJ. It wasn't that long ago that people thought NJ had a bunch on Tony Soprano's running around in it. It's TV, anyone dumb enough to think it has a basis in reality is not worth a thought. I know NJ and I know I has it's good and bad, just like any other state. I also know I don't pump my own gas and am better for it haha.

ughhh...i live in san francisco now....but grew up in NJ.  i have pumped gas maybe twice in the 3 years i've lived here.  i avoid doing it...its just wrong!
