I am going to continue to try doing a few reviews at a time, so here are some additional reviews for my April 30, 2011 wedding:
First Class Limo: out of Manalapan, NJ (
www.ride>firstclass.com) We used First Class Limo for both the limo service and for our shuttle service. The limo showed up for the guys early (and we did not get charged for any extra time). Our driver was very accomodating. My one concern was that he kept pressing us to rush during our pictures so we would not get charged overtime. Honestly, I wouldn't have cared if we had to pay extra... but I didn't like feeling rushed. The shuttle service was well with the price, and my guests were very happy to have a shuttle provided. My one qualm was with the shuttle on the way home. We had booked the shuttle for 1 1/2 hours on the way back - from 11:30pm to 1am. The shuttle made 2 trips starting at 11:30pm, but never came back afterwards. My dad, brother and my brother's girlfriend were left waiting at the venue until 1:30am waiting for the shuttle, until we were able to get someone to pick them up. I can't imagine the shuttle took 45 minutes for each trip (the venue was about 6 miles from the hotel). The shuttle driver apparently told the owner that he went back to the venue at 12:30 and no one was there, so he went home. We complained to the owner at First Class, but they basically said too bad. At the end of the day, it wasn't a huge deal, but I was not happy with the customer service on that point.
Jay West: Haddonfield, NJ (
www.jaywestbridal.com) I purchased my gown, veil, headpiece, purse, and shoes at Jay West. Additionally, my bridesmaids got their dresses here, as did my flower girl. Jay West was an AMAZING shop. I worked with Melissa, who was amazing. On my first trip there, I could not decided between 2 dresses. They were having a sale that ended that day, and she told me that I could think about it, come back the next weekend, and still get the sale price. I could not believe how nice she was!! Furthermore, they gave a discount on any accessories (i.e., veil, shoes, etc.) and on the dresses for anyone in the bridal party. They also did in-house alterations, which were very reasonably priced. One comment is that during prom season they get very busy, but they made me a priority and got me in. Their customer service was amazing - I ordered a gown that was hem to hollow, and it was too long. I needed to get shoes that were taller than I had purchased, and they allowed me to exchange the shoes, free of charge, even though they had already been dyed. I can't say enough about my experience there. I would definitely recommend it - it is worth the trip to South Jersey.
