Engagement Party Location Suggestions

Hi Everyone,

I just got engaged on May 7th :-) and I'm looking for a restaurant to hold my engagement party. I'm mainly interested in locations in Morris, Sussex, Passaic, and Essex counties (in that order), we're expecting between 20-35 people and would like to keep the price under $35 a plate but would prefer $20 a plate.

Any Suggestions?

Thank You!!!

Considering your budget I would suggest a BYOB...There is Porcini in Little Falls, Corso 98 in Montclair & Marzullo in Montclair. I am not sure of the exact price, but i know the prices for dinner are reasonable. Also, I don't beleive they have a private room if that's what you are looking for. Good Luck!

I've been to an engagement party at Via Brera in Nutley and that was nice too!

I had my rehearsal dinner at The Spanish Pavillion in Harrison. We paid 18pp and it included sangria, domestic beer and house wine. They gave us 6 buffet dishes to choose from. The food was really good.

How about Bensi? I had my shower there and the prices were really reasonable and excellent food.

Check out Hanover Manor and Ravello's (down the street).  They had the best bang for the buck when we were looking and the food is very good at both.

I don't know how expensive it is but I just went to a Christening at The Stable in Ridgewood and it was about the best afternoon food I've ever tasted.

I LOVE Marzullo's and they definitely have room for your party but might be out of your budget. Still worth a call.
The Paris Inn in Wayne is in your budget, their menu is on their website with pricing.
The Merchant House in Fairfield has rooms available, not sure of pricing.
