The Villas at Montain Lake

Hey anyone recommend this place. I was offered a good price, well what I think is a good price 100 inclusive for any Friday or Sunday they have available. Is this a good price for them?

It looks nice- I watched it on that cheesy reality show they taped there.  I would say thats a good price but remember with tax and gratuity you are probably looking at $120 pp.  Good luck!

well The Graycliff is cheaper then that so I don't know I'm torn. I haven't went to see the Villa yet. Also disclaimer: please know the only reason that I got this "deal" is because I participated in a contest the were having for a free wedding and did not get chosen.

I would pick the Villa over the Graycliff hands down! But good luck with your choice!

it looks really pretty in pictures, and it gets great reviews online.   can you go see it before you make a decision, or do you have to accept/decline like tomorrow?

The Villa seems so pretty.  Did you have a hard time trying to get in touch with them, because I have been.  But that deal sounds great-pretty area too!

I called them and I believe I was quoted around $130pp for a Saturday in May/June, before tax- so that seems like a great deal!

I went for a tour this week with my FI and the rooms are VERY pretty, nice impressionist artwork on the walls BUT I hope you're not planning on having your ceremony there because they have almost NO outdoor space. The patio area for cocktails is very tiny as well. The prices are fantastic but the absent outdoor areas turned me off.

I think that's a great price! The food there is fabulous! But like PP said, I hope you're not planning an outdoor ceremony because it's practically none existant! And I didn't care for the outdoor cocktail area that's right next to Rt. 46.

It seems like a good price but what does it include? My friend was married there and payed $155pp for a Friday and I was quoted around the same price for a Sunday.

I attended a wedding there recently and it was nice.  I'm not a huge fan of northern NJ venues with big ballrooms and marble and what not, but I have no complaints.  There was an abundance of good cocktail hour food and stations and the dinner portions were good (as in, not huge - I hate when food is wasted. The filet served at dinner was not enormous, and everyone at my table was able to finish the piece they were given. I highly dislike ostentatious food displays that no one eats) The staff was friendly. This wouldn't be a dealbreaker or maker to me, but they did allow shots to be taken at the bar.

If you have searched other venues and have been quoted higher prices, then you will be pleased with $100 per head (and tax and tip!) at this location.  The main ballroom also has a blue ceiling with painted clouds which actually makes the room a bit brighter.

As a rather picky guest, I had no complaints.
