NJ Marriage License Question

Hi!  I have a question that I'm hoping someone might be able to answer.  My fiance and I are Indiana residents but we are getting married in my home state, NJ.  As you know, when we apply for our marriage license, we must wait 72 hours before it can be picked up.  Do we have to be the ones to pick it up, or can a friend or family member pick it up?  Or can it be mailed to us?  Thanks!

We were told in our borough that either of us, or our witness could pick it up.

I know for a fact it cant be mailed but I was told someone else can pick it up - I def need to check out that one too, Im only in NY but Im hoping not tomake the drive 2 times in a few days.
