Sandals

Silly question....but how exactly do the meals work at "all-inclusive" resorts like Sandals? We're seriously looking into the 3 St. Lucian Sandals, but I'm trying to figure out how the restaurants work. Do you swipe a card every time you eat at one of their restaurants or something....or can you eat at the restaurants as many times/day as you want?

Also: I'd appreciate any reviews of the 3 St. Lucian Sandals resorts OR the "Sandals Grande in Antigua." Thanks!!

We stayed at the Halcyon Sandals in St. Lucia and loved it!  For the meals, you basically eat whenever and as often as you like.  There are certain restaurants  that are only open for dinner hours- but there was always something open to eat at, at anytime of the day.

I would highly reccommend the Sandals in St. Lucia.  We visited the other 2 Sandals there, and they were so beautiful.  Had a great experience!  If you have any specific questions, feel free to email me at my sn @ gmail :)

I can't speak for Sandals but as far as islands go we went to St Lucia and Antiguilla for our honeymoon and far prefered Antiguilla over St. Lucia.  St Lucia is not very developed Anguiilla is the complete opposite it had more resorts and was more islandy and to us it was the most beautiful islands we went to on our cruise.  Jenmmesica went to the Sandals in Antiguilla for her honeymoon.

We booked our HM for the Sandals Regency in St. Lucia.  We have been to the Beaches resort in Jamaica (all inclusive resort owned by Sandals but family oriented not couples only) and it was a lot of fun. You could eat or drink whenever you wanted and certain restaurants were only open for dinner.  You don't have to bring your wallet or card, just make a reservation.  All the reviews I've read on the knot say great things about St. Lucia and the Sandals at Antigua.

We stayed at Sandals Grande Antigua and it was amazing! All inclusive for meals- you just tell them your room number when you're there. You can order as much food as you want... the bars don't ask for your number. We had a fantastic time and highly rec it!

We also stayed at Sandals Halcyon in St. Lucia and it was amazing!! Each of the 3 resorts there have a really different feel. The Halcyon is the smallest and more garden boutique feel, the Grand is well, grand. If you can afford it I would stay there. That place was insanely cool. The regency is up in the cliffs and while the hotel is really cool, I would probably pass on that one. The only reason I say that is because of where it is set in the cove, they seem to have problems with the currents from the ocean. The beach was closed there almost every day of our trip. Everything else about that place was very cool though and you must eat at the Japanese restaurant there. Feel free to e-mail me if you have other questions jessandtwedding at gmail.
