Rockleigh or Westmount

MOB helping daughter to choose between 2 what do you think?  Am turned off by the mandatory Florist choice at westmount.  But would deal with that issue if it was considered better.  I see that the rockleigh provides complete separate entrances and area for each event(2 max) where as it looks like the westmount only has one entrance allowing comingling of the 2 events.  Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks, jean (MOB)

We're getting married  at  Westmount and were told that if two parties were happening at the same time, the start times would be staggered so that the parties wouldn't mingle...

The one that hosts only 1 event is always best, than you are their sole focus and get all the attention.

I believe both venues host 2 or more events at once..

I've been to a wedding at Rockleigh and liked it alot, although I also thought the place was a bit overrated. Never been to Westmount but my sister has and she said it was very nice. I don't think you could go wrong with either. I don't like the florist rule with Westmount, esp since I've heard they are not exactly cheap. Aside from that I think they are pretty much neck and neck.. I'd say go with the one that gives you the better deal.

i have been to weddings at both and personally, I liked the Rockleigh better.  despite what the westmount says about staggering times, the valet situation was a nightmare when we went with two weddings starting around the same time and we almost went to the wrong one, it was a little bit hectic.     I though the food and service were very good at both, but I though the event at the Rockleigh was much nicer and things ran a lot smoother.  I don't think you could go wrong with either, as they are both very nice, but the mandatory florist deal at westmount would probably be a deal breaker for me.

Westmount and Rockleigh were my top two choices, and I ultimately chose the Westmount because I liked the cocktail hour decor significantly more.  I had heard the service and food at both were excellent, so those were not determining factors.    I also liked the wall of windows in the ballroom at Westmount.

Westmount does stagger the start times of other weddings that day, but I've never actually been to a wedding there, so I don't know how it works out logistically.  We are hoping to bypass the valet confusion by providing buses for our guests.

The florist issue is annoying - all three gave us quotes that were higher than we were looking to pay, but one gave us much fuller arrangements/little extras, so we went with them.  They all do beautiful work.

We had our wedding at The Rockleigh this past July and were very pleased.  I've heard great things about the Westmount too, but I personally didn't love the decor at the Westmount, so we didn't consider getting married there.

The food and service was great at The Rockleigh, although we didn't love our Maitre d'.  While the night was smooth for our guests and for the groom and myself, my Mom was bothered with some details through out the night(you may want to consider a DOC). The ballrooms are beautiful and the food was really good.  Our guests had an amazing time and still rave about the food.

I think both venues are great!
