REALLY cool bouquet toss alternative!!!!!

So ~ we went to the wedding of one of my girlfriends from college this weekend. I was pretty psyched to go to my first wedding as an MG and get to sit out the bouquet toss! My girlfriend is one of the last of us to get married, and she had a REALLY cool alternative to the traditional way of doing it!
I was definitely a little surprised when the DJ called ALL ladies to the dance floor for the toss ~ single, engaged, married, etc. Then the DJ started to play the song "If I Had A Million Dollars" and the bride tossed a bouquet filled with lottery tickets!!!! It was so cool, definitely a different & welcome twist! And the song possibilities you could use are endless ~ "Wanna Be A Billionaire", Theme to the 'Apprentice', etc.
Just thought I'd share because I know a lot of girls are always looking for alternatives to the traditional toss.
PS: I did not catch it.... but never in my life did I try so hard! =P

OMG! What a great idea! Sounds like all the ladies would've tried their hardest to catch that bouquet! LOL!

That is an excellent idea!!!  Did they do something different for the garter toss?

I may have mentioned in another thread that I was at a wedding with a simiilar idea.  She didn't even toss her actual boquet, she tossed a few roses one at a time and each had a few lottery tickets.  Anyone was invited to participate.  The groom did something similar, though I don't recall what he had them tied to.

Wow, that is cool!  I don't want to do boquet or garter toss, but FI wants to.  Maybe we'll do the lotto thing too since we don't even have that many single people on our guest list.

I'm in the same boat.  I did not want to do it either but my FI insisted on it.

Could you pin a few lotto tickets to a garter and toss it to the guys too so they can win as well?

I love this idea!!  Out of all our invited guests, a total of 10 aren't married (and who knows how many of those 10 will actually come) and on FI's side the whole idea of marriage is kind of ambiguous since many of them have been together for decades but haven't gotten married and don't plan on it.  So, needless to say, this definitely is an awesome alternative.

And I love the idea of pinning some scratch-offs on the garter, just to make it fair for the guys!

I think this is a really cute idea.  FI and I are against the bouquet toss, but aren't completely sold on the anniversary dance idea.  I'll have to add this to the list of options.  Thanks!
